DC PRO Engineering Wins Contract In Saudi Arabia

As a sustainable response to the rising water shortage in Saudi Arabia, the district cooling plants for Bay La Sun Village, Emaar's prestigious residential project in King Abdullah Economic City, will use the naturally abundant resource of sea water via beach wells to cool buildings in the residential complex. DC PRO Engineering, a leading UAE based electro mechanical consultancy firm, has been contracted to design the District Cooling (DC) plants which would apply the ultra environment friendly technology of sea water cooling.

DC PRO Engineering, a leading UAE based Electro mechanical consultancy firm has been contracted to design the District Cooling (DC) plants which would apply the ultra environment friendly technology of sea water cooling, in a number of areas in Saudi Arabia. The scope of the project encompasses designing of two DC plant rooms with Thermal Storage tanks for optimum energy efficiency of total capacity 80,000 tons of refrigeration to be strategically positioned within the development. The proposed District Cooling project is to be completed in phases over a period of three to five years and the commissioning of the first phase of the plant room is expected in early 2010.
