DCPro is committed to ensuring personal information it holds is handled responsibly.

This Privacy Policy outlines the obligations of DCPro in managing any personal information it holds on its customers, potential customers, contractors and other individuals.

Collection of Personal Information

Where practicable and lawful, DCPro will give individuals the option of interacting with DCPro anonymously when collecting personal information (for example, by anonymous survey or via the Internet).

Where personal information cannot be collected anonymously, DCPro will attempt to collect such information direct from the individual concerned and only to the extent that is necessary for DCPro business purposes and functions (for example, by face to face meetings, request for business cards or telephone conversations and from third parties).

When collecting personal information (or as soon as practicable afterwards), DCPro will take reasonable steps to make individuals aware of:

  • Why it is collecting information about them; and
  • Who else DCPro may disclose the information to,

even when DCPro is collecting the personal information from someone other than the individual concerned (for example, personal information about an individual provided in a reference provided by another person).

Sensitive Information

Except in circumstances provided for in the Privacy Act, DCPro will get consent from the individual concerned whenever any personal information collected by DCPro is considered sensitive.

Use of Personal Information

Unless permitted under the Privacy Act, DCPro will only use or disclose personal information for the primary purpose it was collected. DCPro will take reasonable steps to protect any personal information it holds from misuse and loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Where DCPro no longer requires personal information it will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify that information.

Types of Personal Information

The type of personal information DCPro may collect and hold about individuals includes (but is not limited to) information about:

  • Customers and suppliers, potential customers and suppliers and the personnel of such organisations
  • Personnel, potential personnel and contractors; and
  • Other people who come into contact with DCPro and its personnel.

Personal information held by DCPro may include names, addresses, contact details, occupations and other information that is related to DCPro business purposes and functions.

Accuracy and Currency of Personal Information

DCPro will endeavour to ensure any personal information it holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you believe any personal information DCPro holds is not accurate, complete and up-to-date you should contact the DCPro Legal & Compliance Manager.

Access to Your Personal Information

Except in circumstances provided for in the Privacy Act, individuals may gain access to any personal information DCPro holds about them by making a request to the DCPro Legal & Compliance Manager.

Depending on the resources necessary to process a request, DCPro may need to charge a processing fee which should be discussed at the time any individual makes a request for personal information.
